MCT Thoughtful Thursday ~ You're Braver Than You Think!

Hi my paper lovin' friends!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Thoughtful Thursday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  My work life has still been a bit hectic, however I feel like I can get some crafting in!  yippie!!

This card is for a friend of ours that is in the hospital awaiting a heart and kidney transplant.  He just recently got moved to the top of the list.  I have to say if feels somewhat weird to be praying for him to have the surgery soon.  Especially, when you know that someone will be losing their life, for him to have a chance to live.  So I also pray for the family of the future donor.  They will need lots of prayers for strength and comfort, who ever they may be.

Peachy Keen May Guest Designer ~ Happy Graduation!

 

Hi Everyone and happy Tuesday! 

I'm excited to be back with my second post as Peachy Keen's Guest Designer for May!

I just love PKSC 16 April 2013 Stamp Set, it has so many different options to make a card or layout!  I can barely wait to play and with all this set has to offer!  All the images are way too stinkin' cute!!!!  This project is a Graduation card for my youngest niece.  She will be graduating high school and head off to college away from home!  We are all beyond excited for her!

Don't you just love that sweet bee's face and her cute little cap!  I used copics and a bit of stickles on her wings.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer!

Hi everyone this month I will be a Guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps!  I am beyond excited to be apart of the Peachy Keen Family this month!  Thank you to Peachy Keen for giving me this opportunity to have FUN  PLAYING with paper and Peachy Goodness!!!

Now on to my project...

I used PKSC14February2013, I just love this stamp set!  There are so many darling stamps for boys, yet I'm sure any of you could still make them girly!  hehehe

Using a strip of chrome metallic paper ran through a crimper add just enough "industrial" feel!  I know it's hard to see, but on the gear I used Tim Holts distress clear stickles.

MCT 3D Wednesday ~ Framed!

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends!  Life is still a bit crazy right now so I apologize for not posting very much!  I think I have one more busy week and then will be crafting more frequently!  Yippie! 

 

 OK back to my project...we were ask to make a 3D project (anything but a card or a layout) using at least 3 flowers in some way.  So I came up with adding some rolled flowers to a "dollar bin" frame from Michael's.  So easy peasy!  :)

Happy Earth Day Scrapping the Little Things ~ Solvang!

Happy Monday and Happy Earth Day!!!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Scrapping the Little Things!  Since today is Earth Day, we were asked to use something recycled on our projects.  I was given a "pampering" gift from a good friend for Christmas.  It was a jar with some fun pampering items and a cute little tag on it.  I wonder if she'll notice that I used it on my layout?  :)

This layout is from a quick trip that I took in February.  On the way home from San Diego we stopped  in the cute little Dutch town of Solvang and the beach.  This trip was truly "pampering" so her sweet tag was the PERFECT recycled item to use!

MCT April 24th Edition Release Blog Hop ~ Congrats!

This card is made for my nephew who recently got married.  They gave her family about 5 days to plan (he's in the army).  Some of us friends and family are throwing her an after wedding, wedding shower soon.  I wanted to keep this card super simple (which if you've followed me for any length of time, is very hard for me!!!) since they both are a "no frills couple"!!!

 

I used the filament stamp from the light bulb die to make the heart and filled it with glossy accents.

This is my nephew and his new bride at the court house and then at their small reception!  They really loved the "no fuss no muss" day!

My Creative Time April Release Day 2 ~ Thinking of You!

 

Welcome to My Creative Time's April Release! 

 Miss Emma has done it again...with this Awesome HUGE release!  There is sooo much in this release, I had a hard time deciding what to use!  :)  For my project I went with the "I'm Here for you Rain or Shine Stamp Set" and "Stitched Daisy Die".  

 

I punched two holes in the daisy center to create a button.  I was really trying to make my card flat, but I just can't seem to do it...no matter how hard I try! lol!
